Good to hear, but the minister fell short of telling affected workers how to get their names restored after going through the biometric registration with ssnit, again some have registered with ssnit but their biometric numbers were keyed in wrongly by the data entry clerks at G E S and GHS and in some instances at local government service personel processing section,we have workers whose numbers fall short of the thirteen digit ssnit biometric number, others have their year of birth overturned,eg 87 as 78.The minister should come clear on what next after the biometric registration.Again why cant the controller network their regional directorates in the 10 regions to their payroll machine in Accra to handle these simple things, bet me teachers all over the countries will travel to Accra to ensure these simple things are done at the expense of productivity and their life. Why should a worker travel all the way from Tumu or Nandom in upper west region or Bunkpurugu or Kumbungu in the northern region to Accra just because of ssnit number problem, i cant think far.

Is the deputy minister of finance aware that you cannot register for Ssnit biometric today and get the biometric card in one month much to talk about three days, so without the biometric Ssnit card, what will an affected employee use to prove that he/she has registered with Ssnit to get his/her salary restored, the problem with Ghanaian politicians is that they issue policy statements without much knowledge about the subject area the are dealing with. The statement issued by Kweku Kwarteng lacks details and does not have a head and tail,he should come again
