I sympathized with these unemployed nurses but they should remember that they are not the only unemployed graduates in the country. The reality is that both the two major parties are woefully failing the teeming youth when it comes to creating jobs. Even when politicians claimed they jobs those jobs are not sustainable. The unemployment level in the country is alarming and it is having a negative repercussions on education and other institutions. Students no longer see the need to study because they see graduates who have come out with excellent class but are virtually useless to him/herself and the society because he or she have no job to put the skills and knowledge into bare or practice. Ghana is comfortably sitting on a timing bomb if our leaders pretend that all are well with the youth

Its disheartening that these nurses are behaving this way. How long have they been jobless? Why didn't they do what they are doing during the time of the NDC. This government has been in power for only three months, and you are expecting the government to work wonders, why? At times, we have to be realistic and exercise patience. I know how it is not to have a job , but in this case, I expect the nurses to be reasonable and give the government some time, as the President has just finished naming his ministers. What the previous government couldn't do in two or three years, don't expect the present government to do in three or four months.

The present govt does not have any excuse when it comes to recruiting nurses b'cos JDM's NDC built several hospital to ensure that the nurses could easily gain employment. All the new NPP govt needs to do is to furnish the hospitals and then the nurses can be employed. If the NPP cannot do this simple refurbishment, then it has no business being in power now. Nurses, DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR STAND. INSIST ON YOUR POUND OF FLESH FROM THE NPP FOR AFTER ALL YOU ENSURED THAT THE NPP CAME TO POWER ON THE BASIS OF THEIR PROMISES TO YOU.
