Alcohol, fusy drinks, coke, ice creams etc are not good for diabetics. In Ghana and Africa in general, plantain and garden eggs are very good. Groundnut, agushi(akatua), palm fruits, coffee, tea, cocoyam, oranges, mangos, kotomere(palaver source) etc all these our local food can help reduce the sugar level.

For instance, how can anybody talk about high carbohydrate foods to Ghanaian audience without mentioning foods such as Rice, Kenkey, Banku, Fufu and the rest beat my imagination.
I suffer from this condition and I leave in the UK and therefore I know what I am talking about. This article seems to me like a copy and paste work.
Ghanaweb, is massive platform as far as Ghana media is concern so my people, let us use the opportunity judiciously to reach out to the Ghanaian people. Everything said in the article is perfect and true about the condition but the advice given does not benefit the ordinary Ghanaian. It is not hard to research into those foods and find their local substitutes.
