How do you accept 44 dud checks and you don't even report to the police. Issuance of dud check is criminal. Some heads at GRA must roll. Fire them and the rest will learn sense.
I also learnt that Ibrahim has not been paying for the SSNIT contribution of his workers. Get him on that too. The man is just a crook and should be punished.

Mr. Mensah is wrong. The Economic and Organized Crime Office has wide jurisdiction to look into activities which tend to corruption and financial malfeasance. If the GRA was engaged in activities which suggest it's integrity is compromised, the EOCO has original jurisdiction to look into it. The attitude of Mr. Mensah in making this statement which is attributed to him, is precisely why it is necessary to have institutions which check on each other's integrity.

I worked outside Ghana in the Revenue and post-dated cheques are allowed in payment of taxes under the tax laws. Under no circumstances does an agency like EOCO take over the duties of the Revenue Department. Ghana must not be a laughing stock except if EOCO is more knowledge able in taxation in Ghana. In that case they can assume the full responsibility of tax assessment and collection. We're not in a banana republic.
