Abdulai, Nurses and other graduates who have not been employed or paid since 2015 should not be blamed on Akuffo Addo and Bawumia. The duo during the campaign promised them jobs and regular pay but many Ghanaians who are not too partisan know now that Addo's government has been overwhelmed by the poor economic situation they came to find. Some nurses have been paid and others have been employed by this government but not all can be employed and paid at the same time with the present economy. This government is just over 100 days and cannot employ all graduates at the same time.
The mistake Mahama made was overproducing graduate in particular fields knowing he cannot employ and pay them. I empathize with the unemployed but they should have been trained in different fields. Akuffo Addo cannot be blamed for people unemployed or not paid since 2015. In future many of our youth should be encouraged to go into different form of farming, construction and auto engineering.

My dear bro, Amadu Abdulai, stop sounding ignorant and cynical. Vice President Dr. Bawumia said that government is getting clearance, or has gotten clearance, to engage 11,000 nurses. He didn't say government has given clearance to the nurses to go and get employed. After getting the clearance to employ, the government will not now give the ministry of Health the go ahead to employ. Then it shall be left to the employing agency to decide on when to give the employment letters and postings details to the nurses. They may decide to begin that in May, June, July, August or September, whichever date they deem fit. It is becoming clear that people just like talking without giving deep thoughts to important issues first before going public with their shallow views.

It is still a shame that there is not an established process in place to quickly hire nurses and other health workers considering there is a shortage of personnel in that sector. This should under circumstances not be political but in Ghana it seems everything is political.

2. If the vice President says the government is getting clearance to employ a number of nurses and you say it isn't true (sounding more like an opposition ndc serial caller), on what basis do you deny that? Is it that you have insider knowledge of it, or you don't want it to become true?
Dear unemployed nurses, don't sound like people who are rivalling the government for political power, or doing the biddings of a rival political party. You should rather turn to diplomacy and prayers for your problems to solve than engaging in acts that will make the public lose their sympathy for you. Remember to be decorous and thread cautiously to be able to achieve your goal than being canternkerous like this, which can make you lose all together.

Why should govt . place on itself the responsibility of employing all nurses and teachers who have completed their training. Why can't we allow these groups of professionals to comb the job market and look for jobs themselves ...

Its easy to destroy the foundation of a house, but not so easy to raise a building. The Mahama ndc did a lot of harm to Ghana, the youth employment and the very fabric of our socieyy. If the brother of a former sitting and court appointed co-president could for two solid years and counting, denied the GRA - CEPS a huge amount of Ghcs12 million from bad checks numbering 44, how is the government going to find moneys to recruit first of all, and pay good and unfortunate trainned nurses like your association. Mahama turned a blind eye and gave a wick and the nod while the Chinese galamesey went on destroying farmlands, cocoa farms, river bodies, the environment; all of which will require mpneys that could have used to train, recruit and pay the Ghanaian workers like you nurses. Bear with the government a little. Give the Akuffo Addo government time to settle down and do not ask too from him. Nurses look at other alternate means like forming co-operative rural health centers or clinics. Think private ownership of your own health clinics, dental offices or travel outside the country to compete for nursing jobs. The Chinese Embasdy is the only foreign Chancery which is not asking how they can help reclaim lands destroyed by their citizens' illegal activities in unauthorized mining in Ghana. Who gave the Chinese visitors visa to come work in Ghana? Australia, Israel, German, UK and Russia have all expressed interest in helping the government of Ghana solve the galamesey issue. Instead, the woman heading the Chinese Embassy has had the audacity to spew nonsense at the Ghana government to issue mining licenses to Chinese visitors who God knows what visas they have. The same moneys that could be found to pay for salaries will now have to be diverted to reclaim destroyed lands and water bodies. Also, as nurses you know silting water bodies and river beds with heavy metals like mercury, iron & zinc with time if taken into the human body can cause cancer, authism and ulcers. Bear with your new government to take correctives measures to streamline the fiscal economy and they can find you work placements in hospitals. Don't ask too much from Nana Akuffo Addo, blame the corrupt Mahama and his family organized crimes through Ibrahim Mahama. Ndc led Mahama offloaded the ECG to a faceless US company on the sideline in 2014 while attending conference in the USA for just a pettiness of less than $500 million, as against a national asset built way back in the Kwame Nkrumah days, and valued at $2.2 billion. Oman Ghana you do the maths. Would you blame Mahama or Akuffo Addo government? A contract signed by a Ghanaian president is no contract unlessed tabled in parliament voted up or down into law. Constitutional lawyers in Ghana look at the Compact II agreement and discuss it merits or not. Nurses, give Akuffo Addo some time and you will all smile. You can also go back to school for higer degress in nursing, social work, pharmacy and many more. Think big sweet nurses, think Ghana.

Now you gave the nerves to make such stupid noise because the NDC who have publicly sworn to Ghanaians, that: " they'll make sure Nana Akufo-Addo's govt fails at all cost" is behind the scenes pushing gullible guys like you to stage a strike action. I feel very sorry for you after govt had taken pains to address issues concerning Nurses and Teacher-trainee allowances? You guys are inexperienced and prone to the NDC's lies and propaganda.
