Why should chiefs be the custodians and owners of lands.Ownership of land must be vested in the state.All lands must be nationalised.It is chiefs who have encouraged illegal mining,galamsey in all parts of the country.They sell the lands to the 'galamseyers' and then collect royalties from them.Any chief found to have sold land for illegal mining should be arrested,prosecuted ,jailed and destooled.
