In Ghana, corruption is endemic. For the media their stock in trade largely is blackmailing. Although, i don't suppport anything illegal, the multinational firms behind this campaign are worst than the so-called galamseyers. Theirs is "legal" destruction of the environment. When you do the cost benefit analysis, these multinationals are not adding anything. They are taking everything away. Take it from me. At least, for the galamseyers, their earnings stays inside.

just that GHANA is a lazy country.
our leaders are lazy, very incompetent.
we always discover negatives intead of positives,,,
how good can we regulate and amend it technologically for our own people to benefit from, hence the government too.
even the large scale miners are doing same but because of taxation, we are mute.
u punish your own people n promote foreigners...
we are training armed rubbers, i think so........
u can criticize me for all i care.
our leaders must work in brains n stop the lazy way of doing things.

It looks like Ghanaians live in a world of their own, detached from civilization and the rule of law. How could a man who bears the Reverend title to his name defend illegality? Illegal mining is illegal, simple. If people want to engage in small scale mining activities then they must be prepared to obey the laws regarding small scale mining. The authorities waited too long to clamp down on the activities of these unscrupulous law breakers whose activities have polluted the nation's water bodies. Reverend Kusi must be stripped of his Reverend title for bringing the name of the clergy into disrepute.
