They claim they are poor, but they have the time and space to be fu-king and producing hundreds of children in Ghana. Are there still any political problems in their countries?

Every church goer in Ghana call him or herself christian but do we actually put Christianity into practice at all ? Instead of helping these poor refugees from either drought stricken part of Africa or war torn countries on the same continent, we the same so called believers are pushing to flush out our downtrodden visitors who knocked on our doors out of necessity. Ghanaians are found all over the world including the South Pacific Islands. When General Kutu Acheampong and General Akuffo plunged our country into a serious economic mess, most Ghanaians out of desperation trekked through the Sahara desert to go to Libya in search of greener pasture. Some were able to make it to their destination but the unlucky ones died painfully to the delight of the desert dogs. Most of the people who survived the dreadful journey were actually helped by some Chadian citizens and countries sharing borders with North Africa. Today, the table has turned and instead of giving back what they gave to us, we are calling for their expulsion which is totally unfair in my opinion. Some of these infant beggers and their parents are Ecowas citizens from Mali whose rights of freedom of movement under the ecowas protocol needs to be respected. We shouldn't look at their skin colour to discriminate them. Under the Geneva Convention, these people also have the right to seek for political asylum so we must respect their fundamental human rights and do not only see them as street beggers whose menace need to be curbed. The challenge these people are facing in our country is much bigger than what we think. These people are obviously handicapped in terms of communication and therefore their chances of going into gainful employment is slim. We must as a matter of fact exercise restraints to address their issue. We shouldn't jump into sudden conclusion to deport them unlawfully. As we all know, they are moslems from birth who deserve sympathy from the moslem communities in Ghana but the Imams and the Islamic clerics are turning blind eye on the calamitous situation these vulnerable infant beggers are facing. As an ex-hustler, I always remember what people did for me during my trials and tribulations outside the shores of my native Ghana and never will I turn my back to other hustlers from elsewhere who come to our land in search of greener pasture. Legitimately, I wouldn't mind to adopt at least one of these children and fund his or her education to any level God will permit me to do. After all, six feet awaits all of us.

If they are Muslims, then, Imams should step up and show some compassion for these babies. Imams and Pastors, usually turn a blind eye to obvious human suffering, while yelling and screaming about Jesus and Mohammad, who were complete opposites to the
Last but not least is the ineptness of both NPP&NDC administrations, who's main interest seems to be securing foreign loans for personal enrichment.

I was wondering why no one commented on the fact that the children were not on their own but came to the country with their parents who sent them on those begging missions. Maybe the reporter missed out where it was said they should be deported with their parents. There was a mention of the rate they gave birth. They want them to be put on Family Planning, or castrated?
By all means, let's find solutions to the problem but one of them is not repatriating the children.

folks sending them back is not the solution. 0ur govt should stop taking money from UN if they think they cannot do anything to get them the hospitality that they need. we as countries and individuals depend on each other in many ways and sending them back is not a recipe to curtail this problem. The govt should set up a task force to get them off the streets. We can contain them and get them off the street through various programs. The minister of interior should come up with a strategy to keep them off the street.
