These public officials should know better, that in every progressive tax regime, the more you earn, the more taxes you pay. All those so-called allowances are tactics to AVOID taxes which do not speak well of those enjoying high salaries in the public sector. Now if you high income earners are using all kinds of "ways and means" to avoid taxes, what example are you setting for the low income earners in the private sector? When they sit in Parliament and pronounce the high salaries to themselves, they should note that paying high taxes are the immediate consequences. Time to face realities is now!

If you make money you need to pay taxes and these MP's are already falling within the taxable income brackets by all means. It is a loophole that has gone unnoticed for so many years. Thanks so much Mr. Boateng for bringing this up. You are my hero.
