2million may sound like a huge number until you pu that next to the number of metric tonnes we import into the country annually.There is absolutely no tangible reason for the level of meat import into Ghana.We saw the sense in getting serious about poultry farming and have managed to cut down the importation of poultry products,why can't we use the same approach to corral the roaming herds of cows into pens and ranches?

Why can't we be self sufficient for once, when it comes to poultry and meat products, they give Africa the worse laden with GMO and other cancerous elements. So when it comes to food let's try and eat only what we produce.

it may sound so simple to talk abt consuming local goods but let us not forget dat consumers maximise utility nd will always consider cost, convenience, packaging etc....
local producers shd simply be competitive.
