  The catholic church off late have become one of the most corrupt and discriminative religious entities leading to mass defection of believers of the catholic faith to other churches.Most of the problems have to do with extremely wayward priest with corrupt criminal mentality who operate like mafias in the church.Instead of serving the vulnerable in society,they engage in illegal acts for money and material wealth using the church as a powerful weapon of influence.They have been stories of priest actually sleeping with and impregnating ladies including married women often swept under the carpet.One of the major reason people defect to other churches is because of the discriminative behaviour of groups like the Knights of Marshal and Saint Johns largely believed by many including liberal Catholics to be cult societies.Most catholic priests have been at the forefront of these societies that often discriminate,abuse and torment fellow Catholics who are not members.Multitudes of catholics have been damaged and destroyed morally and socially in a reckless show of power by these entities who fight with all alacrity to protect members who engage in highly dubious,immoral acts which are in fact criminal in nature.The priest sweep off the truth and take sides in the interest of these powerful groups instead of serving as neutral abettors in conflict resolution particularly in the case of protecting vulnerable church members.In fact many have bemoaned the dwindling fortunes of the catholic church in recent times compared to the past where the old catholic priest especially white fathers showed so much dedication and commitment in serving society as true men of God.The catholic church obviously is suffering a serious generational problem because young priest currently have failed to cope and maintain standards in religious teachings, morals and principles.Even in Africa,Ghana inclusive catholic priests have been associated with heinous atrocities like murder,robbery,exploitation,drug trafficking,gambling,subversion of court ruling and justice,confiscation of peoples wives,sabotage of business and work of others etc.It is refreshing to note we still have good ones around examplified by Rev.Moses Asaah.Congrats.
