We produce nothing in Ghana. We only import cheap inferior quality goods to consume, yet we expect to have a strong currency!

MELCOM destroyed AKASANOMAA and many other Ghanaian Enterprises. Nobody complained because those Companies were PARASTATALS. Nobody Lost Anything because Ghana Govt. LOSS is NOT considered a Loss.
These MELCOM people would buy finished Electronic Products from China and take the goods to India, have the PLUGS removed at the End of the Wires and then DELCARE everything as Raw Material because some Labour would be expended to fix the Plug back to the WIRES.
Meanwhile, AKASANOMAA and other Ghanaian Companies were Paying Taxes on their Inputs.
Melcom engaged in what is referred to in Antitrust Law as PREDATORY PRICING where you reduce Prices well below Market to PUSH the Competition out of the market and then you can bring all MANNER of SHODDY Goods and charge a Premium for them.
They managed, through BRIBERY, to get FREE ZONES Designation and used the FACILITY to evade even the minimal Tax they should be paying on the so-called Raw materials, by re-exportation to other West African Countries under ECOWAS Protocols.
Melcom tried this NONSENSE in Nigeria and BINATONE chased them out of town.
And this is one reason why I think Nigerians are More PROTECTIVE of their own than Ghanaians.
Nigerians CHOP their own. Ghanaians PAVE the WAY for the likes of MELCOM to CHOP Ghana 'SMALL' by paying off a few People
