Is Kwesi Pratt not impliedly supporting Mr Mahama's candidacy? Why does he seek to deny other members of the party, their right to challange Mr Mahama for the presidential candidacy? Is the flag bearer position his birthright? After all the man has just led the party to an ignominous electoral defeat? Does Mr Pratt sincerely believe that no other member of the party harbours the ambition to be President of the Republic? And does he believe that there's something wrong with that? Why should Mr Mahama be elected without challenge all the time? Should the accomplishments of the Mahama administration be solely attributed to Mr Mahama? Is any human being indispensable? Why are the supporters of Mr Mahama, such as Pratt, afraid of a challenge to his candidacy? Why shouldn't Mr Mahama be "knocked down" by potential challengers, if that is what it takes to prevail over him? This is politics, after all?

How dare you assert the NDC would have no message without Mahama! Do you really understand what you are saying? The NDC is a national political party with principles, ideals, a vision, with which it always has aimed to shape the destiny of Ghana and its wonderful people. Yes, it would always need players to help advance its cause; but the party can NEVER be hijacked by any one player because it would always remain bigger than the sum of its parts. Therefore Kwesi, stop peddling this falsehood. Anyone who is able to weave these ideals into a captivating programme of action for the people of Ghana CAN represent the party successfully. Mahama clearly could not pull this off, hence the doubts swirling around his leadership.
