  Why should the white man come to Ghana to establish Automobile Technical School? Does it mean that KNUST has failed Ghanaians?
  One of my past students who studied mechanical engineering at one of the polytechnics in Ghana got employment with one of the transport companies in Ghana. He then decided to top-up at the KNUST's Mechanical Engineering Department. Throughout his study for BSc, he was not taught anything in automobile engineering but rather bombarded with mathematics throughout. When it was time to choose his project topic, he decided to choose a topic that has something to do with automobile engineering but his lecturers refused and rather gave him a topic on Gari Processing Machine. In fact, his lecturers told him if he want anything on automobile engineering he should go to K-Poly. You see, KNUST has deceived Ghanaians for long and this explains why Mechanical Engineering Professors cannot repair their own cars.
