The chiefs should rather, first and foremost declare war on the filth that has engulfed the Ga State and has made the whole Ga State a laughing stock and a pale shadow of themselves. The whole Ga State and its environments are smelling and no reasonable and knowledgeable chief in this state will beat his/her chest and say "I am a Ga Chief". Take hold of your state by exercising the authority of ownership of the state by first cleaning your environment and the other issues of lawlessness will be resolved.

The Ga State should admit that they are a dirty state and the reason for being dirty is the fact that the chiefs and custodians of the state have lost the reason and authority to govern the sate. If they exercise this authority meaningfully and wisely over their entire Ga State, there will be discipline and discipline will lead to cleanliness and order. It is because of the absence of the power to authorise from the chiefs that has brought about total chaos,anarchy environmental decay and dirt. The Ga State has, for now, lost the respect of modernity but wallows in filth and ignorance. They should admit that they are reigning on a dirty state and people.

If Ghana were to have leaders with foresight they would have decentralized development much more so everything is not in Accra- so that the whole of ghana develops and also so that at least we Gas have that little space for ourselves, our lands, our culture and our Ga language (all that is depleting as we we speak) whilst our useless chiefs fight over themsleves out of greed. You have little space because your greedy elders and chiefs have sold, and in fact, continue to sell all your lands, leaving just a few parcels for you to occupy. One would have expected your people to at least, have 'brightened the corners where they are,' but what do we see? There is filth in virtually all the indigenous Ga settlements. Why don't you have proper layouts in most of your settlements? What about common toilets? I love Gas, and I feel sad that they have not taken full advantage of the opportunities at their door step...please educate your people and give them enough exposure cos they have the nation's capital right on their soil.
