It will be huge for his term in office. 38. pls, DECENTRALIZE gh police. each region must have their own police chief. once a yr, the police chiefs meet to discuss issues, modernity etc and vote for chief of police/igp who reports to the defence minister/minister of interior/Gh president.

The average policeman's kid whose parents have been in the service for 10+ years speaks a minimum of 3 languages.This is the result of their parents being transferred almost every two years. I personally find it hard to understand the logic behind these inter-region transfers.I know for sure it is not designed to slow down the police taking bribes. I hope someone can enlighten me on why the police gets transferred so frequently

Yes they can be transferred but not as and when we change government. Someone was sent to a place four months ago and he has been moved again. Transfers of officers also brings a huge financial burden to the nation since their salaries have to be doubled in a month as a transfer grant. Being a an igp doesn't only mean you do transfers . After that what next. This is not only this igp , Kudalor came and did useless and tribal transfers. This nonsense must stop. And why publishing in the media. When it written"restricted".
