The world's renowned footballer at that time was Stanley Matthews, who also played for the British team. I remember vividly, how James Agyei dribbled and demolished Stanley Matthew at the Kumasi sports stadium. For this reason, James Agyei has history for Ghana soccer but I will not go to the extent of crowning him as the king of Ghana soccer. surely, Baba Yaro, Salisu, Abdul Razak, Abedi Pele and many others are forces to reckon with.

This is a fact. Other African countries said he used voodoo, Nigerians called him the man with 3 feet, we called him the wizard, the British called him George Best of Africa. He scored 4 goals against the world's best goal keeper at that time (Gordon Banks) of Stoke City, he was offered a huge contract to join Stoke City, this was at a time racial discrimination was at it peak, 3 times he took Ghana to the Olympics, 2 successive times he was the star in the Black Stars team that won the cup back to back. Believe me no one has his skills. He had control of the whole field, determined the pace of play, set up his teams moves and was strategically at all vintage points. Too bad Ghana do not preserve records. I know Ghana information services then had all the matches on record but lost them through your military revolutions. Osei kofi was just delightful to watch- No match in Africa

He has taken the Black Stars to three successive world cups; he is the leading African goal scorer in the World Cup; he has played in three continents: Africa, Europe and Asia; he has been with the Black Stars in the span of over 10 years and has captained the for over 6 years.

The Forgetton ones like Akwasi Wusu (the Goal King) of Bofoakwa United who captained Bofoakwa and Black Stars at the same time can be considered for his patriotism and devotion to duty.He is the only Black Star player given a house by Ghana Government (Gen. Acheampong government)for his devotion to duty.

tackling
passes
respect and commitment

attendance to training.

When the match is deemed to be lost give the ball to Osei Kofi and he will redeem the situation. The role he played when the Black Stars won the African Cup of Nations in the 1950s,was a remarkable feat. Pl give it to him. He deserves it.

Abedi was first 3 times best African Footballer of the year of all times, a record brokdn by a non Ghanaian. No other Ghanaian made it 3 like Abedi. Abedi was rich yet all-time committed to the development of Ghana football
Abedi's legacy continue to live on. He's still remembered relevant though his children's current contribution to Ghana.

Abedi's feat is accorded like Prez Dr. Kwame Nkrumah rather more popular in the world than Kwame Nkrumah Ghana.
