Sunyani Secondary School Lands has also been sold to private developers by Sunyani Omanhene through Attah kofi Buahin, a Restaurant Operator in Sunyani by deceiving Lands Officers in Sunyani about the school land. It is an eyesore in Sunyani and has attracte public outcry. Nana Addo should act now. Due to what Sunyani Omanhene supported President Mahama that he will get 70% votes in the Sunyani Area,the former Regional Minister, Eric Opoku failed to tell the chief to stop selling the school lands. The Standing Committee of Regional Lands Secretariat are biased to this issue as the School Head is a female teacher and the lady fear to tackle the issue. Most of Sunyani Lawyers completed the school but are silent on the issue because the Omanhene of Sunyani being a pioneer of the school and have taught at the school for 20years has connived with the Lands Department to sell two-thirds of the lands claiming to use it to compensate the real owners of the land. Six (6) families in the olden days self-sacrificed and gave the land to Nana Kwaku Barnie, the then Omanhene of Sunyani to be used for educational purposes. I will cahallenged Nana Addo that after 6th March, 2017 he should sent delegation to see what is happening to Sunyani Senior HIgh School lands as Sunyani Omanhene is selling them to thedetrimental of its citizens.

The Association will be very much pleased if the NPP Government will sent a delegation to see what the disgraced Omanhene of Sunyani is doing to the SUSEC LANDS. The Omanhene behavior has led to the extent that the farmers of Susec Lands have erected about fifty-two (52) illegal structures of which some are just 11 meters to the boys and Girls dormitory. Nana Addo should send the Ministry of Education officials from Accra to see things on the ground and come out with their reactions. It is rather shameful that a learned chief and a former Maths & Science Teacher of the school, who is currently the Omanhene of the Area and have started selling the school lands whiles the illiterate Omanhene, Nana Barnie preview that "not for the sake of himself but for the nation" which is the school's motto has been neglected by Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri II. It is rather shame and we will advice the school and the student body to revenge by pulling all structures down if both the government and the Ministry of Education fails to re-actto save SUSEC LANDS. Even the Omanhene's Palace does nor have title to the structure likewise Susec and the Regional Minister's Office and all other Public Institutions. Now, time has come to tell the Omanhene about his wrong-doings and recently was accused by the Rector of Sunyani Technical University last week. The School started applying for title for its land and since the Omanhene was the chairman of the Regional Lands Commission, did not approve that of the SUSEC LANDS DOCUMENT and hide it with its Standing Committee members who are made up of NDC members.

If one drives or walks along the dualised road from Abrepo Junction to Suame Roundabout one can clearly see the problem. Seconhand car dealers have completely taken over the school lands. How can we educate our future leaders this way?

That second hand dealerships along the road and elsewhere in the city should be made to move away from the centre area so that a conducive environment could be created for teaching and learning.
