Ex-president John Mahama had outlawed the process, but was the first to violate it, opening the floodgate for his appointees to follow suit.

Just look at the names of those who have stolen these state cars and go back to their constituencies and see how their people are suffering when the price of one of those cars if sold by government could give their people about 4 borehole but they've grabbed them for their own personal use, selfish and greedy people. I hope when the government is settled they will look into it and allow them to pay back to the state the difference of each car, they shouldn't take them for free when there are so many mess they've left to be fixed. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

Thieves have stolen these vehicles for nothing. That is not the way to go in this country when thieves invade the corridors of power and begin a stealing binge of state assets and property.
It will be a complete abdication of duty for Ghana to allow such despicable and irresponsible thieves to engage in such depraved conduct. So Ghana must act!!!.
Now moving on from that, should the gov't be minded to sell its brand new cars because it has so much money to throw around every 2 years to purchase new vehicles, it must devise a method to offload all those vehicles at a go, collect the bulk money and plow it back into the replacement of those brand new vehicles it has sold, because the Ghanaian taxpayer has had it up to here, with such irresponsibility and senselessness.
Now, the task force know the thieves with Ghana's brand new vehicles. They must be made to pay every single dime anybody who imports a two or three year old vehicle into the country or they must return the stolen property of Ghana.
