The guy you're reporting about is a civil servant. His employment conditions are for the Civil service to implement. If he's broken the rule, it's up to the Head of the service or the Public Service Commission to act. No party in Government appoints Directors of Ministries and NPP has not appointed this guy. So why create a headline to suggest the President has done just that?

This is a clear case of one day for thief man, one day for the master. He should have been sent to jail. Failing a jail sentence, outright dismissal should have been meted out to him, not a promotion.
Well, what do we expect? Thieves and thiefettes have been misruling Ghana for a long time time. Our colonial masters were conquerors and therefore thought they were entitled to exploiting and plundering us. It is just the booty of conquest.
Then in stepped the CPP and we have plain thieves and thiefettes who thought since they had struggled with Nkrumah to gain independence, they were entitled as heirs to the British to help themselves to some of the booty. That has been the bane of Ghana since then. The Kutu era saw us descend to the lowest abyss of moral turpitude tagged kalabule.
In a way, we're all accomplices and accessories to this rampant thievery called corruption in the public sector. It is only the nobody in Ghana who doesn't know what's going on.
When you go to Ghana, you'd find out they all have some "beats" or "connections" they are pursuing. When you asked them how they are "managing" to sustain their affluent life-styles, they'd answer, "Ghanaians are magicians". No, they are not! They are "thieves and thiefettes"!

For hundreds of years it has failed to bring about progress, the emphasis is on how rich and powerful they are, children and women do not matter. they have mismanaged our God given lands, with the desert closing in on us, water bodies and farm lands destroyed.
Expensive funerals must be abolished because it affects productivity and creates hardship for families.

The guy is a public servant who was posted to that position last year and not an NPP minister. NPP has nothing to do with his appointment or conviction.

The story is about an Ag. Chuef Director of the Chieftaincy Ministry who got this appointment before npp took the reingns of power. Too much propaganda!

The chronicle news paper says the man in question is an acting director, it did not say he is the minister or deputy. Those punching npp should note that the man was brought there since 2015 under the NDC government.
