NPP have never had the chance to convince Ghanaians else you would have the tendency to rule forever and when not in office, you are the worse opposition any govt or nation can have.
Many people were killed by the military wing of NPP after 1966, NLC.
Imagine a leader nearly killed with bomb today, would he take his enemies to a court filled by his enemies.

Kwame Nkrumah sought after power, secured power and subverted the power. Nkrumah was architect of his own downfall.
His exit was and still a good omen for the country. It may not sit down well with adherents of Nkrumah but truth be told he was a cold murderer. Like Hitler of Germany, he had the oratory skills to win over his unsuspecting audience. A crafty power force.
Nkrumah was infatuated with his ideology and cared very little about the detrimental effect on people.
His voice was heard far and near but the paradoxical of approached to national issues was consumed by his greed to hang onto power; without recognizing the effects, of which had been the cause of two attempts on his his life.
There should also no tears for Nkrumah. He got what he wanted. His actions were shrouded in secrecy and more so covert in nature. A crafty power force but was undone by his own party.
The spontaneous response to his overthrow at the time will forever be a nostalgic moment to all who appreciate the essence of good governance. The rule of law.

I born to a family members that saw a Kwame Nkrumah as a Messiah. My dad and mom were thorough CPP activists, and card-bearing. Also my extended family members I can vouch have close to 90 percent patronage.
However, I grew up never to be an apologist or a disciple of your beloved Kwame Nkrumah.
Simply put the man was a dictator and a traitor to the people who ushered him into the Gold Coast politics. He played on the keyboard of the ignorant vast majority of our people as if he had them at heart.
He surrounded himself with surrogates who sang his praises. Like my Dad and Mom.
Our little useless mind was enough of might to get the despot out of power.
Enjoy your weekend little mind!

You are very funny, Nkrumah's rush to redeem the whole African continent with our resources was a misplaced priority, and also one of the reasons we're where we found ourselves today. The amount of money he waisted on some of the ungrateful African nations could've been saved in a heritage fund type of an investment. Just this week in South Africa Ghanaians and other African nationals are going through a serious persecution at the hands of the people we helped to liberate and I wish Nkrumah was still alive to witness the yields of his investments. Is there any country on this continent of Africa who still recognizes the role we played to set them free? I am reminded of an article in one of the Nigerian tabloids many years ago, at the time Ghanaians were queuing to buy Kenkey, this article appeared in that news paper and made a point like what l am talking about today, under the headline " Ghana's respectable poverty ".

When we mention the name of Jesus, all minds switches to Jerusalem where they said the saviour Jesus Christ was born. Biblically, the skin colour of Jesus Christ of Nazaret is white and it is the whites who came to the continent of africa to bondage their fellow human beings into slavery. The white supremacists group called " KLU KLUX KLAN " called for the extermination of the black race because ideologically, they classified blacks as inferior race who do not have the right to live. Luckily for the black people, the same God by whose power Jesus was created considered the plight of the black people and in the womb of an Nzema woman called Nyanneba, a child who was to become a great political figure of Africa, found a mother. In the process of the naming ceremony of this child, " KWAME NKRUMAH " was given as his name. Even though I was yet to find a place in my mother's womb, it came into being some day and I grew up as a little boy to read about " AFRICA'S BLACK JESUS " in the person of Kwame Nkrumah. The philosophy of Kwame was based on the emancipation of the black people who were said to be living in holes like rats and on trees like monkeys. This was the assumption of the white people. He didn't come to the world to perform magical feet as Jesus Christ of Jerusalem did but he had his own ways of transformation of his black brothers and sisters who weren't blessed to see the cunning ways of the white people. Osagyefo as is added to his name is a title in the akan language which literally means " The great warrior ". Such titles are conferred to the great ones only. During the partition of Africa, our land was taken over by the queen of england who then sent her warships and her mighty army to take control. Our land was to be named "Gold Coast " due to the abundance of gold and other mineral resources they came to meet. It was a " PARTY TIME "for the queen who ordered her men women to do justice to our wealth. This angered the " ashanti Kingdom " which led to the "Yaa Asantewaa war " The greedy english queen did not spare even the " GOLDEN STOOL " which was the soul and body of the ashanti kingdom. Wars upon wars were fought between the ashantes and the british army who triumphantly captured Agyeman Prempeh the first and sent him into exile in the Seychelles Island. The unfinished battle of the ashanti Kingdom finally came to an end politically when the black Jesus of Africa continued from where Yaa Asantewaa and her people left it. The queen had no choice but have to surrender unconditionally and a new nation was born which was to be called " GHANA " The name " GOLD COAST " therefore became a relic of the bygone age. Ladies and Gentlemen, let us give special thanks to our own black Jesus who emancipated us from mental slavery . Our emancipation became the gateway to freedom in most parts of africa including Nigeria. Kwame then called for the unification of Africa and also stressed the need for a " UNITED STATES OF AFRICA ". Other great African leaders like Emperor Haile Selassie, Jomo Kenyatta, Amical Cabra hailed his ideology but he never lived to see his dreams become true when Kotoka, Afrifa, Ankrah and a bunch of evil ghanaian soldiers condoned and connived with CIA to overthrow his government. ( To be continued ).
