As a floating voter who voted for the NPP, i am beginning to be very unhappy about what is going on in this country and Nana needs to stand up and challenge these people who are dragging Ghana back into the gutter.
We want a free and fair Ghana where the Rule of Law is bigger than any one person and where it's people will be free from fear and intimidation before some of us start thinking about arming ourselves to defend our families.

For us, the fact that there is Ghana military, Ghana Police, and there is "...Invincible Forces, a private security wing of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP)...", is what is most worrying.

And for (1) a senior police officer to be at the receiving end of that mayhem, (2) while a member of the military is being detained, and (3) the absence of any report, investigation, or communication to Ghanaians, etc., those are troubling facts.

In addition, we would have expected Commey to have directed "caller" to real number/person who had a responsibility to communicate to the public about the matter. We are saying it is not enough to merely say "this is not my job" when you are in the same "office" and ought to know whose job it is.

Bruce Nanka lost the discipline that the Army must have instilled in him when he was seconded to the Presidency and started imbibing the teachings, culture, tradition, values and principles of thievery Mahama had unleashed at the Presidency.
The soldier has done well to leak the video to show clearly that, when you are a soldier, you must be of a certain disposition in a democracy, and not fall to the degeneracy of politicians fixated on stealing and thievery and allow yourself to be corrupted, because Ghanaians will not stand for indiscipline soldiers who pivot towards stinking thievery and stealing in tandem with politicians.
The soldier should not be detained at all. The message is clear to those with their brain cells functioning at 100%.

Why was none of the perpetrators arrested but rather soldiers are been detained? Now that a group of rogues assault a police officer at the seat of government and soldiers are paying the price then I wonder what civilians well suffer in the hands of people. Whatever the case, if the army officer took a video of an illegality, that is beating up of a police officer, nobody has a right to detain him let alone for 72 hours, the gentleman is a soldier with their rules on disciplinary measures but the army top brass must not foster a culture of suppression and lawlessness in the army, if there are disciplinary measures excluding detention this must be made public and the soldier in turn has to seek redress if he feels unduly punished. For the police officer, all the so called castle security, visible and invincible forces who took part in the assault must be arraigned before court ASAP. President Nana Addo is leading a democratic gov't and he must learn from history. His father who was the titular head of the Busia regime which was overthrowned because of certain perceived and real activities which were thought to be unjust against society, it will be wrong for him to sit comfortably, he must not accept any explanation from his deputies, he must demand immediate accountability and to all NDC lovers and fool soldiers, I say shut the f!ck up, you guys were confortable watching NDC goons and officials harass, intimidate and brutalize Ghanaians for 8 years and did nothing so stop it, quit playing the victim, this is a national issue.
