I don't understand some people. In their quest for power they will do anything. I have never been to Kumawu but I have followed their chieftaincy disputes for a while. This guy John Oduro was rejected by the queenmother who in Ashanti custom has the right to choose a chief. In Ashanti as in all Akan areas nobody is born a chief, because we inherit on our mother's side. A mother who is a royal may have many sons who are all capable of being a chief. She may have sisters who also may have sons of their own entitled to be the chief. Then there are other families who are also royals. This guy has taken his case all the way to the Asantehene who rejected his case. He is still not satisfied. Instead of bringing people together, he has become a divider and a destroyer. Now I guess he is hiding in the bush. We dont have to be chiefs to contribute to society. Spend your money on the people. Build schools. Give scholarships, donate equipment to hospitals. Don't destroy. I hope the police will teach him a lesson when they catch him.
