Unless you have countries of equal economic and security standing it is stupid to have open/no visa boarders, As it is we complain about Togolese influencing our elections and using our benefits such as NHIS etc. and possibly free education when implemented; and now we are trying to open the boarder to everyone including boko haram/Al-Shabaab, and poorer African countries who will take advantage of us.

Ghana is a good kid in a bad neighborhood, would be disastrous to invite all in without the usual checks granting a visa provides.

The ills of one nation should not be transported at will to the other. If that constitutes the least of all reasons, it will still be needful to have visas before one enters Ghana. Ghana needs security at her borders otherwise the Ghana Immigration service would not have been created. Look, cocaine, drugs, wee, criminals, minerals and the wealth of the nation should be secured. At the moment entry with visas are there to check some of these things. Think well and say something sensible.

It was the benevolence of the Catholic Church in Nkoranza that defied the strong resistance posed by the then NDC government to start the health insurance scheme. Later, when Kufuor came to power and laid the NHIS bill in parliament, all the NDC MPs walked out of parliament. After the NHIS law was passed, the NDC polluted the minds of Ghanaians that the NHIS does not work. Later, when the NDC realised that the NHIS was working to the admiration of all Ghanaians, they formulated another theory that it was the NDC government that started the NHIS on a pilot basis at Nkroaanza.
Now, after criticising the Free SHS in 2008 and 2012 and claiming that Free SHS is not possible, the NDC is now saying that Mahama laid a strong foundation for Free SHS. Fellow Ghanaians, you can now see how shallow minded Mahama and his NDC goons are. They are simply a bunch of thieves.

the only barrier is nation-states. by constantly chipping away at the powers of a nation-state (such as controlling her borders), these corporations seek to eliminate any (local) competition that can come from enforcing borders and controlling investment in disadvantaged economies.

in other words, "open your back-side, i want to come in please (a firm please!) you see, the same people who (and for similar reasons why) feel the need to control the sexual standards of our society.

I don't this idea will work in Africa. Ghana will choke with people to an extent people will be sleeping on the sidewalks.
