By this policy all pupils who make the minimum qualification at the BECE will have the chance to proceed to the SHS. The boarding facilities will be choked. Classrooms will be choked. Some parents and their wards will prefer the day schooling. What we need to do is to watch carefully schools the children and grand children of politicians will attend.

It is a good idea to have free education but if we are not careful it will create more corruption the country never experienced now that it is going to cover the boarding schools,we should have allowed the parents who can afford to send their kids to boarding schools with minimum fees but now that we are making it free,the corrupt headmasters will now be asking the parents to pay a fee to enter the hoarding schools with the highest bidders getting the admission for their kids.
What criteria are we going to use to determine who stays a day students and who stays in the hoarding house since everything is now free?

If we are not careful the corrupt headmasters will defeat the purpose of the free education,whenever something is free the GES officials which include the teachers find their own dubious ways to take money from the students as is happening in the training colleges and the universities with teachers forcing students to buy their pamphlets which no matter how brilliant you are if you don't buy it you cannot pass those subjects,in the training colleges it is due to the allowances they were being paid which the teachers took advantage of to 'rob' the students.

Rules and regulations should be the backbone of moving forward, check and balance across all 3 part of governments. Our judicial should not be a rubber stamp for nobody, not even NANA. This is how free education in our society will work, no favors.

This is the time "WE THE PEOPLE" should help the government implement his policies about this free education. If you see "SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING" we should let the LAW work for us all and stop paying bribes.

If northern Ghana had enjoyed free education for 60 years and southners paid for it and it produced 2 presidents,is it not time for suffering southern Ghana to also have a breathing space.This writer taught at Bolga secondary school.One teacher was struggling to pay school fees for his nephew in the midst of fellow Ghana citizens eating free sleeping free everything free.All this time no one said it's not sustainable.Will these so called high minded wise men reason a bit,please?
