Amoako Tuffuour should stop this Ashanti nonsense. Ashantis have not been agitating for Nana to give them any position. Leave the President alone to choose people he think are capable of helping him achieve his administration goals and if they are Asantes, good, if not, so be it.

Ghanaians should stop this foolishness about giving jobs to people according to tribes. Ashanti region voted massively for Npp and we need development. It is development that we need and not filing cabinet positions. If we put Ewes in positions who will see to the establishment of the inland port at Boankra, make Kumasi Airport a real international Airport not by name only but with infrastructure befitting an international Airport. We need roads development, water for our towns and villages and not individuals with Asante heritage who want positions to enrich themselves.

We had a lot of Asante in the Kufuor government and they did not do much for Ashanti region. They took care of their families. This time we need development especially Boankra inland port, Kumasi International Airport and completion of abandoned government houses at Asokore Mapping.

The Ghanaian commentators have no greater pleasure than to be disrespectful in expressing their differences in opinion. If you are a public figure and your opinion is sought because you directly or indirectly impact on your following, you have an obligation to articulate in a way that your following can understand in order to accomplish the goal of the engagement: in this instance calling on his region to exercise the patience and cooperation needed for HE to form his team to govern the country. No need to ridicule such an attempt when Dr Amoako Tuffuor is only trying to contain anxieties going on in his stronghold.

Calculate the number of Ashantes that held positions in Kufours's era. Can Ashantes only cause the party to win, if you think so then better form Ashante party and win elections and put only Ashantes in ministerial positions. You are greedy and selfish people.

What is wrong if in Kufour's government there were many Ashantes and today in Akuffo Addo's government there would be less Ashantes as ministers? In short l pity people who align themselves with you, because your selfish and greedy behaviour is too much disturbing to anything of unity.

Among the ministers so far appointed the chunk of it come from Ashanti not to talk of other governmental institutions like GNPC, TOR, GPHA, ECG, NSS and many others which are being occupied by the Ashantis. Out of the 25 seats in the Central Region we fantes gave the npp 21 but how many ministers do we have. Please Ashantis don't be ungrateful

It is about time we the citizens don't kotow to tribal sentiments if Nana thinks a person from Kabonga can do a job so be it How can he appoint somebody from Ashanti who can't do the job The citizenry should desist from the mentality of job for the boys as we saw during the tenure of the previous Government Nana should be left alone to focus on the job. We saw what happened during Kufour's era those so called Kumasi or Ashanti's guys who were given positions we saw how arrogant ,disreptful ,and pompous they became as such Nana should be left alone to decide period.

I think most of the readers are missing the point about the discussion in this forum triggered by Dr Tuffuor's interaction with the media. Good or bad( I believing it is bad) that our sociopolitical dynamics are impregnated with strong tribalism, dr Tuffuor is attempting to calm his followers. Until we are successful in eradicating the grip of tribalism in our lives all of us have an obligation to manage that whenever we are confronted with that. HE appointment is about competence not reward and all Ghanaians are potential candidates. I am an Ashanti but so what if HE has so far appointed mostly The Akyems etc. So far all the appointees appear capable and that is what matters. It is the government of Nana Addo and he has to select those he believes can bring him success. The problem with African governance is the mentality of "reward" I am not by any means trashing the need for sensible regional balance in the appointments. If I did that I would be endorsing the racist statements by some in The US that we can't find qualified black professionals to do this or that. So let us all be calm and support HE as he tries to pick the best for his government.government.

Let's call a spade a spade. the NPP is for the Akyem and Asantes whether you pretend or not. If you want count the number of appointments and tally them to see if 70% wouldn't be Akyem /Asantes.
