What are you going to tell the court, that you gleefully approved Oti Bless and Okujato Ablakwa as deputy ministers who had never done their National Service but when it came to the turn of Otiko you are now crying foul because you are in opposition. The real strength of a currency is determined by supply and demand dynamics and not by artificial pegs. Artificial manipulation has its consequences as you stated. Good observation!

The USA and UK can print their dollars and pounds to provide the necessary stimulus for their respective economies, but Ghana can only print cedis which is not an acceptable global currency; therefore we have to resort to borrowing from abroad. Those countries have what it takes to jump start their economies when necessary. Ghana does not have that luxury. Therefore Moody's downgrade should be a cause for concern for us.
