Playing on poorly-maintained is not only isolated to Gabon. Playing fields in most African countries are not up to the standards to allow the players to play good football without risking injuries. I observed that most of the matches were played in front of sparse crowds. Given the lack of interest based on the spectator size, the African football body should consider hosting the next tournament in either Europe or in the US. Playing in Europe or the US will fill the stadiums there with a large number of spectators.
