This foolish man wished for no peace in Ghana if he did not get the justice he perceived was due his party during the court petition.

I pray for more pain for him. I have no sympathy for him. If you don't understand what honesty means, get this.
It is the character that shows the true nature and content of your heart without fear of anyone.

What NPP does creates pain in many Ghanaians and we must stop our cultural flaw for hiding our pain even when someone is clearly destroying us.

Mahama worked with a lot of cross party Ghanaians including NPP leaders.

Just look at what is happening, sacking left and right and centre without any sense to others emotions or sacrifice. Time will tell.

After Gyiwa's attempted coup Rawlings and his people rounded up several people and shot them for "supporting the coup". All these were cooked up to settle old scores. A Iot happened after 19th July,1983. Two days later workers throughout the country were mobilised to go on demonstrations against their management. Several managers were picked up and some were killed at Tarkwa, Tema, etc. I was a very young man in the mines and I was also earmarked for elimination bcos some old semi-literate guys at the mines felt threatened by the presence of younger and we'll educated new staff. I was saved by a some workers from my department who resisted the WDC and UNION leaders who gave instructions for lall the young menl (engineers) to be arrested. Some workers poured acid into thw eyes of a manager at LEVER BROTHERS in Tema.

Today, it has become evident that the AFRC/P-NDC bunch of criminals were just taking the opportunity to get wealth. There has been reports of bribe-taking and corruption and bribery recorded among the party's hierarchy. The very same people, who shouted "we no go sit down make them cheat we everyday, power to the people, and "probity and accountability" have been caught in their very own web of corruption. I'm talking about unprecedented crimes and corruption, in the political history of Ghana. Yet the NDC want Ghanaians to believe that they're the moral standards or moral yardstick by which every Ghanaians should be measured!

Mr. Boakye Agyarko's testimony has opened the gates for every Ghanaian who suffered under the dark regime led by Rawlings. People should now feel bold and confident to come out of their hiding places to tell their story to Ghanaians. Life is real! Ghana cannot progress in freedom when there're lots of people suffering in silence. It's not right!

In June 1983, for those who will recall, there was a mutiny led by Lance Corporal Halidu Giwa. I was picked up by the Military and sent to the Airforce Station and put against the wall and shot. I almost lost my life, and through the intervention of Monsieur Le Veloire and my two sisters, I was able to leave Ghana through London to France, and then settled in the United States under very difficult circumstances. So for that period, I was close to being an invalid; and I didn’t do any work.

“Even though I left officially in 1983, Management and Investment Consultants wrote to me officially saying that as at the end of 1984 I was no longer employed with them, so my employment with them ended in 1984, and the next two years I was going through a series of surgeries and recuperation,” he recalled.

As much as we all look back with shame and regret on what our Military did to our Politics and some citizens, sometimes, the role some us civilians played in the causes that led to the Coups was what might have drawn the Soldiers to our doorsteps.

I wish Mr. Agyarko could tell us exactly what he was accused of doing by the rampaging soldiers that caused his arrest and near execution.

This is a story that should surely draw our empathy and deep regret, especially, now that Mr. Agyarko has resurfaced as a survivor of such grave period to offer his services to the Nation. If he turns out in the end to have served Ghana admirably, his story could teach us all a lesson that Coups and political violence should never be our way of resolving issues.

Nevertheless, if he happens to be seeking only the opportunity to recoup any lost fortunes, or to avenge his attackers, he would be diminishing the essence of the lesson his story teaches us and our posterity.

Many of us who were old enough adults to know first-hand what Ghana went through in the Coup days, starting from 1966, have a wide range of evaluations of the role of our Military at every stage of our political evolution.

We are not easily moved to accept an opposing view on those days. But when it comes to the personification of those incidents that characterize those volatile, incendiary days, and we put people's faces in the story as Mr. Agyarko's case does, there is no way we could feel unsympathetic, and untouched by the woes of the likes of Mr. Boakye Agyarko.

So, for that, I would render an unqualified apology on behalf of all of us, Ghanaians, to him and others who suffered similarly. The bottom-line is that our Politics should never have led to such bowels of hell.

I would therefore admonish the Minister-designate to open up his heart to forgive his near-murderers, and serve the Nation in absolute honesty, and to the best of his ability, if he is approved by the appointment committee, and the Parliament.

He must understand that he would not be serving Akufo-Addo but Ghana. And that is the only way he would have earned all the blessings the Omnipotent might have specially showered on him, even giving him a second chance on life. Any deviation from that would be a betrayal of God's purpose for him.
