You are 100% right in your comment, as I experienced this Akan bias through a lucky interaction I had some years ago with the top echelons of church at many venues and occasions; their headquarters at Labadi and at a top notch event at the Pentecost University included, with guest speaker upon guest speaker and many dignitaries being NPP members or sympathizers (names and the event withheld!!. Conversations I had with top echelon revealed an Akan biased-NPP leaning ideology in the church. It led me to wonder what other members of other tribes felt and were doing in that church. Luckily, I am not a member of the Church of Pentecost, but my grandfather and grand mother could be regarded as one of the first members in Ghana in the late 1930s-1940s. So, I know a lot of the church and have a lot of insight into it from my family and my lucky interactions with the church hierarchy. I am sure to be vilified and attacked by the usual "professional attackers" here, but,I have seen what I describe above and it is not a subjective feeling, but rather an objective observation I made. Wow!! I didn't know Mahama sufered under the Church of Pentecost....but it is not surprising tome. Akans see their kinsman as holy and a member of any other tribe as the devil incarnate!!

Having said that,you people shouldn't behave as if we are having tribal problems in Ghana.
NDC won the elections in 2008 and 2012,because majority of Ghanaians,including Akans voted for them.
NPP is now in power because majority of Ghanaians,including the Akans voted for them.
So till now you people should understand that Ghanaians don't vote on tribal lines,rather on issues.
NDC lost power not because,Akans see them as not one of their own, but because they failed Ghana as a whole.
The arrogance,corruption and mismanagement caused them the elections,not because Mr Mahama is not Akan.

Has Prof Jeffrey Sachs been to any of the hospitals built by Mahama? In the first place, the hospitals were built for about 6 times the cost. When you go inside these hospitals you will not find any chair or bed.
