Plain and simple NDC is not a political party but the megaphone of a hegemony/tribalism treacherous insidious movement of Ewes Northerners and haters/traitors of the Akan. They wooed and deceived the left wing aspirations and heritage of the Akan people but installing a few naive genuine patriots or impeccable characters like Mills to front their true criminal genocide agenda. Any nation that allows murder of the leaders to go unpunished no matter the lying propaganda justification is doomed to failure and that is a fact of history , NDC has continuously found it necessary to murder all Akan leaders starting from Kotoka's wickedness, to Acheampong and now Mills. We Akans can not call these Ewes and Northerners brothers if their most intimate desires is our destruction stemming from deep pathological hate and is manifested in their style of govt which has always been very destructive and retrogressive , be it the buga buga rawlings or the family and friends corruption/looting of Mahama. We thank Akans of the left wing inclination for showing their support to remove this criminal mafia by not excising their right not to vote and therefore leaving the NDC high and dry. They know the Akans are half right wing and the other half left wing so their calculation election engineering required that they stick to the hegemony of the Ewes and fantical islamic discrimination mixed with tribalism of the northerners and they would win hands down every election, little did they know that the ideological left wing of the Fanti speaking people and the Brong Ahafo are far more sophisticated and can not be fooled by no one forever. Next year we will see and witness the true extent of the destruction and expose with real proofs the colonization by Ewes and Northerners of the wealth of the Akans . Justice should be enforced not these fake laws that have so many loop holes that true justice in the interest of the people is elusive. We witness how thew Mahama family now have control of all natural resources including reserves of Bauxite and iron ore so frustrated and sabotaged every effort at industrialization and construction of railway networks as they did not want the people to get wealthy by adding value and exporting . Its easier to manipulate ignorant illiterate impoverished people. They snear scoff and laugh as they know these and other impediments and obstacles will seriously slow down NPP's deep desire to secure a true development for our people , yes the battle goes on and the only way is to cut these pepeni/ayigbe out of our country so we gain new independence.

Do you remember Krobo Edusei and his cronies? They sucked Ghana dry! Akan or not, Muslim or not, most of our leaders are simply corrupt.

It all depends on the crime the prisoner committed. Did he murder? If he is a murderer then it is 50% sad. If he was not a murderer then the prison guard should be jailed.

Very sad story. Was he serving life sentence? If not, why wasn't he pardoned as was done to others? Probably, President Mahama didn't know, otherwise he would have given preference to him before the Muntie 3 issue. I would recommend that people of that age should be pardoned to enjoy the last days of their time at home.

This is unacceptable. The officers involved should be fired and prosecuted as well. These are the kind of characters making our prisons mini hells for the inmates.

This is social media and think I also have the right to share my ideas as far I'm concerned. My fellows in the outside world I think this is the time people have to wake up and know the kind of a country we're living in, the said prisoner who died is a vivid proof that I can testified bcos myself I'm a prisoner as I write on this blog. That old man who was overlooked to just passed away was a sad story when I heard the news in the prison yard. That oldman deserved to be pardon for a very long time but I think somebody will ask me why. He the deceased prisoner works at the prison yard in so many ways that demonstrates as a changed person. He calls inmates attention anytime there church activities going on, assist the prison officers during their number checking of the prisoners, and even assist the same officers at the prison infirmary that they allowed him to die over there. And aside that he does so many good things in the prison yard where the young prisoners can't do but in all these prison service can't see any good in it to consider him anytime they pardon prisoners. Ghana they say freedom and justice but pls let me remind each one of you outside there that it's a big lie. Freedom is for sell both outside world beginning from the court room to the prison yard itself. Justice is for some people because when you don't have any top man or government official who will follow you when you're in trouble then forget it. Just come to the prison yard and see corruption in it's in-depth. Everything in the prison yard turns to money before one can obtain his/her freedom back. For that guy who said article posted is a trash I pity him and may God forgives him. We call ourselves a Christian country yet we don't know how to forgive ourselves. But remind you "Ghana is in alarming danger as our leaders turns to fill up the prison and forgetting that they're creating numerous of criminals in the future as the people continues to be the prison for a long period of time" It takes the word of God to change the heart of a person but no level of punishment can change anybody in the prison. Thank you and God bless us all and also continue to bestows his mercies on us because no one is faultless neither is an angel. Thank you

The Chief Officer's action is tantamount to insubordination. Under no circumstances should you claim to have instructed your superior for an action to be taken. I'm not sure that's exactly what happened. The Service is regimented and have laid down regulations just like any other paramilitary Institution hence due process must be followed to ensure the prisoner was given the needs attention. It's rather unfortunate he gave up the ghost.
