Don't misconstrued the President. What you consider to be new Ministries are indeed Agencies for special projects located at the Presidency. The President has taken pains to explain this, so what is your beef.

IMANI should understand that as much as cost saving is essential, the way and means the President wants to follow to achieve what he has promised Ghanaians in his manifesto for which reason Ghanaians made him President, let him go ahead. Cost should not be the only criteria, so many variables come into play in order to succeed and achieve one's goals. The President has promised to guard the national purse which in itself will guard against waste. The President has got the mandate of the people so he must be given space to do what he wants to do. It's too early yet for criticisms.

I don't see how those ministries need to be merged if NPP desires to see results.
The bureaucratic bottlenecks are as bad as it is already and then you create behemoths by merging them, when they have specific focus.

I don't see how they will be merged, if the goals for which they have been set up, is to get specific results per the mandate of Akufo Addo.
It is so out of the question the idea that it has been raised is shockingly depressing. Save cost in what context? They would have a budget and have to be held accountable so what cost are we talking about here?

If you have a corrupt person like Mahama heading only one ministry in the country, cost will still be high. But get 100 dedicated and selfless people like Nana Addo as ministers and cost will still be saved because they will not mismanage funds.
