Everyone in Ghana knows Kuffuor lives at Airport and not Dzorwulu. He lives in the same house that he lived in before he became president and continued to live in during and after his presidency. The house was renovated and provided with upgraded security systems at state expense which he is still benefitting from. He has a new palatial mansion in the Aburi mountains and one in Kumasi. His kids bought state bungalows at very reduced prices in some prime areas in Ghana as their residences. Which begs the question as to why he would need another house at government expense. How many homes can one person live in? and at 75? Does the state provided home revert to the state when the former president dies?
It is just greed and sheer avarice.This whole system of free homes for former presidents is ill conceived and and stupid and should be scrapped. This is public service and when your time is up, pack and go to where you came from. You don't deserve a house for life any more than any other public servant. These guys steal enough money in office to buy private islands and do not deserve a thing. Fuck em!

Those properties belong to the people of Ghana. Neither does the constitution says the current president must give a building to the outgoing president. The constitution permits a committee to be formed to determine how the outgoing president will be housed. The committee has come out with a rent of 9000ghC. Now why does Mahama needs a state building which is being used to house vice presidents in addition? The guy is a thief who cannot let go his habits. Tell Mahama that Akuffo Addo is not a Father Christmas president giving away state houses.

So if Mr Mahama chooses that place as his personal retirement ( from office) home, Not only should it be granted him, it has to be fully renovated for him.
This does not however exonerate Mr. Mahama from any probable prosecution in future.An NDC spokesperson pins the recent inauguration speech gaffe squarely on Nana Addo. Koku Anyidoho strongly believes Nana Addo should be directly responsible for the gaffe.Well Nana Addo may apologise and eventually fire his speech writer.
Are we going to hold Mr Mahama directly responsible for all the malfeasance in his administration... Bus-branding, Ameri, SADA, Ford gift, Burkina wall......ASEM BEBA DABI....And we are closely watching and will continue to do so as events unfold.....Soon!

What is wrong with former President Mahama keeping this house ?
And please the calling of him a thief must stop. If anyone has any evidence on paper of Mr Mahama stealing anything, please go report to the police and I believe they will sort him out, but if anyone does not have such, then let us desist from insulting him
I understand that getting to the end of his rule he became a bit arrogant like the wearing of military uniforms and castigating the opposition.
But who does not steal when he/she comes into power ?
Like the Master Jesus Christ says " he who has not sinned before must be the first to cast a stone at her"
Well, no one could.so I say that he/she who has NEVER stolen before should be the first to insult him.
I really salute former President Kuffour and Sir John. These are men who have Ghana at heart. And if I am not wrong, I have not heard or read the sitting President say anything.
Some of us (and many others like me) can really help this country financially but you know what: WE ARE AFRAID. Ghana has 500 more years to go. Hmmmmmmmnnnnn
