Practising journalism in Ghana is no longer safe. First it was the mysterious death of Confidence K Baah and now the disappearance of Dasebere. Interestingly, both were sharp critics of political players in the country. Are the mouths of journalists gradually being shut down? And it seems journalists themselves are so comfortable about the situation and so not making any noise about the situation

This is worried. A similar situation happened 18 months ago and the security agencies have done very little about it till now. Francis Owusu Darquah, an employee of Urban Roads Adenta in Accra disappeared in Accra purportedly after taking permission from work to visit the family in Kumasi. He has not been seven eversince and a vehicle for Urban Roads he was said to be using at the time has also not been found. That is how competent our security agencies are. And Urban Roads too are surprisingly quiet on the issue. That is Ghana for you!!!

This is worrying. A similar situation happened in July 2015 and the security agencies have done very little about it till now. Francis Owusu Darquah, 32, a Quantity Surveyor with the Urban Roads Department, Adenta office in Accra, disappeared purportedly after taking permission from work to visit the family in Kumasi. He has not been seen ever since. A vehicle for Urban Roads he was said to be using at the time has also not been found. That is how competent our security agencies are. A whole vehicle and its driver just disappearing from the surface of the earth. Interestingly, the Urban Roads Department Department are also very quiet on the matter. Was it an inside job? But that is Ghana for you!!!
