  Christmas isn't about merely offering gifts and making merry, or to celebrate the birth of Christ. The real meaning of Christmas is about repentance and doing away of all kinds of evil. Ghanaians should make time to do proper introspection of themselves and eschew all forms of corruption, malice and deception ets. For example the appetite to cheat in an election, or hiring contract killers to eliminate members of opposition party, denigrating noble people belonging to other parties etc. And most importantly, having a positive attitude toward nation building.
  
  My utmost concern, asides Nana Addo's job creation and development programs, is the missing people; the so-called "Apathetic" Crowd--5 Million strong--whose names were recorded in our voters register, but strangely couldn't show up to vote.
  
  Ghana's voters register is over-bloated and must be pruned! We can't pretend that everything is okay, once the elections are over; the "ghost names" or "foreign materials" found in our systems must be flushed out. This is the moment; Nana Akufo-Addo and his govt must save Ghana by instructing the Charlotte Osei-led EC to compile a brand new register, in line with the proposed National Identification, House and Street naming exercise ready to be launched by the incoming govt.
  
  It's criminal for the NDC to import foreigners for the purpose of voting during election every elections period in Ghana. When Dr. Bawumia alerted Ghanaians about 78,000 names and IDs of Togolese nationals on our electoral roll, the NDC went on the airwaves to lambaste him.
  
  Guess what? Results of voter turn-up in certain border regions, esp. Volta Region reveals of huge voter apathy; the turnout was very discouraging! Some vigilante groups in the regions had vowed to resist any attempt by foreign elements from participating in the December polls, through their "Operation Eagle Eye" campaign drive.
  
  As a result, hundreds of thousands of Togolese and citizens from Benin, decided to save their skin, so they abstained this time around, from crossing over to vote, for fear of being lynched by locals. They aren't fools!
  
  This is the right time to lay things straight! H. E. President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo should make it one of his priorities as leader to call for a total overhaul or reform of our electoral system. All the miscreants at the EC, like Amadu Sulley, who for years, have initiated all kinds of dirty election rigging tactics at EC's Headquarters must be retired or retrenched. Elections are meant to be truly free and fair; elections, as we've been told by Justice William Attuguba at the Supreme Court, during the petition filed by late Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey--it's sad that he didn't live to see this victory-- Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, are won at the polling stations.
  
  The compilation of brand-new electoral roll would build a concrete foundation upon which Ghana's elections should be conducted. Ghana's elections would have taken an entirely new course, devoid of cheating, massaging of ballot figures among others.
  
  It is my fervent hope that my humble plea would meet the consideration and approval of Ghana's incoming President, H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo. May God bless our homeland Ghana.
