By the way, it was the NDC, who because of greed, tried to get Ghanaians to believe the crude oil from off shore fields in Ghana cannot be used at TOR. Now that we have a new govt, and knowing that they'd be exposed have made an attemp, albeit last minute to prove a point which would have been proven in 2017 when the new administration had taken over. The concept that TOR cannot refine crude oil from Ghana oil fields emanate from this outgoing administration. The then energy minister in 2011, Oteng Adjei and his Deputy championed this idea. Unfortunatly the Media in Ghana couldn't probe these guys for further explanation. I have personally worked in the refinery in the processing units for a long time and knows very well the capability of the refinery via-a-vis the crude grades it is capable of handling. In fact it handled worst crude grades than even the one in Ghana.
The explanation that the refinery is NOW in a position to handle Ghana crude oil is just mendacious.
Going forward we need some media guys to be well abraised with oil and gas and its related issues so that they could help check these guys (POLITICIANS) when they spewed out these disingenous statements on to the media landscape.

I would love to see the day when governments in power prosecute their own NDC or NPP, but don't wait for a change of government.

This was against the backdrop of workers of TOR stating emphatically, this was not the case. As a result of this sad state of affairs, we had a number of qualified and experienced TOR workers leaving the shores of this country for the Gulf states because effectively TOR had become a white elephant leaving room for the criminal cabal of complete thieves of Mahama to milk Ghanaians bonkers.
Up till today, nobody has told Ghanaians how much Mahama, Terkper, Awuah Darko and Jinapor have made from the TOR Recovery Levy since they came up with the mumbo jumbo of TOR being debt saddled and owing so much they could not refine the Jubilee crude and all sorts of jazz.
What is clear is Mahama and his looting fringe including this Awuah Darko character have been a colossal catastrophic disaster on the economy of this country within the context of the energy and gas sector and Awuah Darko should exit pronto.
