The typical Ashante character and behaviour is what is being displayed by the NPP. This is the way they are known to do things, with the mindset of causing unneccessary problems. Why should they be pushing the EC that way when they also have representatives at the EC who are aware of the process being followed there in order not to cause misunderstanding among other party representatives.

Some parties with less voters can choose to concede earlier because they have nothing to gain more hence they could wish it is all over but the NDC which runs neck to neck with the NPP would basically like to see things clearly and properly handled so that the end will avoid confusion, a mindset that ought to be welcome into our politics of today.

It's an attempt to bend to the will of Mahama. The next government needs to do some cleaning at the EC. Some people have been there for far too long and have been infected with corruption diseas.

If the Electoral Commission acted as a neutral referee in the true sense of the word and in good faith conducted a free and fair election why would they have to wait 3 days after the election to declare the results? Any mayhem resulting from the unnecessary delay will be answered upon their own heads. The longer the delay the more likely they will massage the election results in Mahama's favor. The results would have been questionable if the NDC was in the lead because they are notorious for playing dirty tricks in elections to secure victory. Besides, the credibility rating of the EC itself is already very low among majority of the people and the only sensible thing to do is announce the results in 24 hours like it's done in every civilised nation.

Also looking at the way and manner our money is being used by the President; the giving of cars and cash freely to Chiefs and so on are scary and therefore need quick change and quick result by the EC.
