How I wish whoever takes over the presidency from Mahama after the Dec. 7 polls will concentrate seriously on making living in the northern part of the country more attractive. Many of the northerners who migrate to the south are a nuisance. Most of the destitutes and beggars in the big towns in the south are northerners. If you go to Kumasi, for instance, while some people are doing quick business selling items in traffic jams, the Northerners move from car to car begging for money. How does Mahama expect people from the south to respect Northerners? Let someone tell Mahama to do something for the northern, he can and should do far better for the north.
