Perhaps just using a pseudonym and an argument, though flawed, that would make him appear as one, for obvious reasons: to attract hate towards the Asants! So the edict should be that those who consider themselves Asantes should follow the edict emanating from the Manhyia Palace, and those who consider themselves not, should follow their hearts' desire.
You cannot tell Muslims, Christians, hindus, budhists, shintoists how to worship, or how the priests of Antoa Nyamaa should pour libation. That is a protected right under the Constitution, and the Constitution should be bigger than the parochial interests or desires of one group over others.
Some may then argue that "if you don't like the Asante brand, then you should leave Asante". But then that will only lead to chaos; not unless Asante secede. The consequences of secession are too complex for me to begin to fathom. Thus, the most rational decision will be to forgo this antiquated tradition. Everybody's mom, whether she be the queen, the prime minister, or humble peasant, will inevitably rest peacefully in their grave regardless of what the ambient noise decibel is.
