People found their religions when they imagine the needs of their imagined gods and formalize methods of worhsiping those gods. That was how the people in the Middle East founded their own Judaism, Chritianity, and Islam; and that was how the people of Asia founded their own Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, Shintoism and many other religions.

Yes, Africans have been able to imagine many different African gods. But, no, Africans have never been able to develop and codify any of their spiritual thoughts into "organized religions". Rather, Africans find it easier to copy, imitate, ape or steal other peoples's religions.

Yet, the fomular is very simple: Think of the difficult conditions you face; imagine a superhuman god to help you deal with your difficulties; guess his needs or what you must do to get his attention to help you; develop a system of worship or liturgy, (a combination of prayers, thanks, music, dance , etc); set the days and times of your worship. Bingo! You have created an "organized religion".

Africans have still not realized that European gods help Europeans only and that Asian gods help Asians only. These foreign gods will never serve Africans. Only Africans gods can help Africans. I think it is utterly shameful and disgraceful for Africans to continue to adopt other peoples's gods and religions. Kobby Acheompond and all those like him will never find any help in a foreign temple, church or mosque. They should be ashamed of themselves. May the curse of our neglected and ignored African gods be upon all of them.
