1 day or whatever your name is; please know that the Nigerian govt has banned importation of cement into their country. Whist Dangote can bring cement to Ghana without paying 20% import duty plus enjoying additional 30% export subsidy from the Nigerian govt. How does the likes of Ghacem, Diamond Group and soon Cimaf compete with Dangote? Where is the fairness? That is what the local cement manufacturers are complaining about please. Ghanaians should also be careful in buying 'secondhand' cement from Dangote which also comes from Korea apart from the cheap one from Nigeria. We Ghanaians should encourage local producers and desist from patronising imports which are even old products and to use expired cement is very dangerous and can lead to collapsed buildings.

Competitive price is good for the consumer not necessary low price. Dangote must be made to compete fairly and we will see who will be cheaper in price. They simply have an unfair advantage that's why. No payment of import duty, not payment corporate tax etc. Government of Ghana must investigate Dangote I swear . Why is Dangote factory price of gh29.3 a bag higher than retail prices in Accra, tema, Kumasi, sunyani, takoradi and many towns and cities? There must be something wrong somewhere. Fact 4.Government now has 5% share.pittance
Fact 5. Germans Heidelberg now owns Ghacem. This MD cannot survive Strict adherence to business ethos.
Fact6:Dangote is a Nigerian and he had no grace in Nigeria due liquidation of banks assets as a result of lhuge loans non payment.
Fact 6 Ghana is the obvious clean country to come and rebuild his tattered image..
Fact 7 before the including of cheap imported cement buildings were nit collapsiing.
Fact 8 buildings are collapsing when Dangote and others entered the ghanaian market
Fact 8 wise up your cheap cement house can collapse in your wife and children one say.
Fact 9 cement cost is less thank 8% of the total cost of ownership of a house.
Fact 10 Wise up. made in Nigeria vrs made in Ghana. All Nigeria big men buy their basic pharmaceuticals from Ghana or London and the ghanaian wants to buy his cement from Nigeria. Think!!!!

When you go to buy cement you do so based on best price and quality and service of the company. Ghacem for far too long had been very arrogant in their approach to customer service with constant price increases. Advance payments were required and you had to wait for supply. This has all changed now and surely they do not like the fact that their importance has reduced and now to resort to complaints is laughable. They should improve their customer relations and service if they want customers and not try to damage their competitors to force the customers back to them.
