  …The Ghana Armed Forces has denied media reports that it has assigned men to protect President John Mahama’s brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
  
  Media reports have suggested that soldiers have been detailed to guard the President’s brother after pictures of him in the company of soldiers while on a health walk emerged on social media.
  
  But in a statement to clarify the matter, the Armed Forces Command condemned the act and assured that the necessary action is being taking to address the issue.
  
  “The Military High command has taken a serious exception of the bad conduct in respect of soldiers who participated in a health walk and were alleged to have been providing close protection to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama.
  
  “The Military High Command wish to state that it has not assigned any soldier as body guard to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama. The soldiers in question were assigned as part of the security detail at the flagstaff House,” the statement signed by Director Public Affairs Colonel Aggrey-Quashie noted…..

  The decision is a big blow to the machinations of the NDC electoral thieves and their stooge at the EC, Madam Charlotte Alata, who has been made to understand wrongly that the word "independent" EC means that she is above the law and can do anything she wants as far as elections are concerned, regardless of fair play and dictates of the basic rules in our constitution.

  There is no way any competent court is going to rule in favor of the EC. A precedence has already been set earlier today in the PPP's case. One would hope all the remaining cases would now be bundled together for quick resolu ...

  There is no way any competent court is going to rule in favor of the EC. A precedence has already been set earlier today in the PPP's case. One would hope all the remaining cases would now be bundled together for quick resolution. They can all only go one way - and one way only. Justice for Ghanaians, and a big disgrace to disgraceful Charlotte Osei and her independence!

  The court's decision is likely to send shivering waves down the spine of the NDC for the simple fact the majority of the parties disqualified fish from the same political pond as the NDC the left of centre or what I term Nkrumacrats. A vote for any of them was likely a vote away from the NDC. So to say the EC trimming down the presidential candidates to only four was designed to boost the chances of the NDC. Now no more. Mahama must be tossing and turning at night in his bed. His chances of retaining power just got slimmer. Now watch how his honchos would fetch up their insults on all perceived enemies. Insult is their only policy in this election cycle. Them they be keke. Just warming their seats. Visionless Akronfuo!
