Mahama’s only achievement in 8 years is NDC’s Green Book

The Flagbearer of the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo has lambasted the Mahama-led administration saying it’s only achievement in the last eight years is the publication of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) party’s ‘Green Book’ which contains projects done by the government some of which have been challenged.

According to him, the continuous stay in office President John Mahama constitutes a threat to Ghanaians as he’s doing nothing to alleviate the economic hardship his government has plunged the citizenry into, hence called on Ghanaians to vote Mahama out.

Speaking to the Chiefs and people of Peki Traditional area in the South Dayi as part of his 5-day tour of the Volta Region on Monday, Nana Akufo urged the electorate to replace the NDC government with the NPP in order to implement policies and programmes which will speed up the development of Ghana.

He wondered why President Mahama is promising jobs in his next term instead of telling Ghanaians the number of jobs he created in the last 8 years.

“Mahama says he’s going to concentrate on agric in his next term, everything is in his next term…he doesn’t tell us anything about what is going on now. We are interested in what is going on now not somethng in the future. You’ve been in power for 8 years and at the end of the eight years apart from the Green Book we don’t realy know what else he’s been able to produce. The time has come for us to put people in office who are capable of giving this country a really effective and efficient government so that we can make progress in our country. It is possible for Ghana to develop very rapidly if the correct policies are put in place. We have outlined many of these policies, to do with reviving our agriculture, to do with reviving our industry and we’re talking about every district, the creation of at least one factory in order to be able to be the centre of economic activity and growth in the area.”
