PROPHET BAWUMIA:--------- Mr. President, care to read? Today's request for disclosure on the 2007 redenomination is another demonstration of incompetence. Apart from the fact that the then Governor disclosed the cost as far back as 2007, if the President really wanted to find out the cost of the redenomination, he could simply have asked his VEEP who was Bank of Ghana Governor, especially when the President was Head of the Economic Management Team between 2009 and 2012. Such petty propaganda should be beneath someone of the stature of a President. It is clear he is very poorly briefed, but when a President decides to join the bandwagon of propaganda , he only ends up embarrassing himself. Moving on, can the President (with the same zeal) and his Economic Management Team respond to the 170 statements contained in my last lecture?

This man is supposed to be an economist but did not see how wasteful his boss Acquah was splashing with tax payers money. How could Bawumia and cohort justify this; between 2003 and 2006 the BoG spent over $98 million to replace the old Cedi currency knowing very well that the Cedi redenomination was coming in 2007?! This is a deliberate waste by pouring money down the drain and then turn around to say we saved $28 million when in fact Ghanaians have been hoodwinked through deceitful tricks to rip them off a $98 million scam. This economics con artist indeed have the nerve to open this can of worms. As the old saying goes; waste not want not. There is too much waste in Ghana and that is across the board. Somebody must tell Bawumia not to throw stones when living in a glass house.

The import of the president´s question is lost on the most intelligent person in the elephant/NPP fraternity.Secondly,the president´s question was with regard to corruption and competency.

On the issue of competence,Bawumia could have repeated this redenomination excercise in Zimbabwe when he was the World Bank/IMF representative to that country so that he(Bawumia) can earn Nobel peace
prize for economics

And on the issue of corruption which the president was emphatic for Bawumia to look himself in the mirror,Ghanaians are beginning to see the cracks in the Incorruptibity of Bawumia-Nana Addo duo.It cost 66.7 USA dollars to uprolled a whole excercise but cost more(94 USA dollars) to top up? This is the crux of the president´s question which Bawumia is running away from.

Bamumia alias serial liar,incase you did not hear the president hear we the ordinary Ghanaians and tell us with the same zeal and in graphical and pitoral terms the cost benefit of redenomination excercise.

To educate the rest of you, let me state here that the Bank of Ghana went to Parliament to submit detailed accounts on the re-denomination in 2007 when John Mahama was the then MP for Bole-Bamboi. The President must therefore rise above pettiness and respect the position he occupies.

I wish to state a fact of literature that it is a truism that anyone that does not read cannot write a book. The president has written a book which has become a course book at YALE UNIVERSITY. So the only person callin the pot black is Dr Bawumia since he has never written a book, let alone to be adopted by a reputable university of the world.
The cost including the impact of redenomination on industry, agriculture, Services, manufacturering, mining, etc. From 2007-2016 (10 years) Is the most important research that Bawumia should written a book on or given lectures about year on year. But failed to do that and rather focusing on the elephant in the room. Which by the way is literally the NPP itself and crested by the NPP. Read the article Ghana's redenomination a Trojan Horse published at the time on the Bank of Ghana website and you will notice that the writer fore-warned both Dr Bawumia and Dr Paul Acquah about the dangerous venture. It turned out that the NPP used it as a milking cow or the hen that laid the golden egg. ALL the old cedi was reused secretly by Dr Bawumia creating an inflationary spiral we find ourselves in today. The only person who was against the redenomination after reading about the dangers from many other Ghanaians was the NPPs own Minister of Finance, who later died under mysterious circumstances. Would you also ask yourself why Dr Paul Acquah has never been heard off since?
