The question is if someone is your friend, that person is awarded a contract which is inflated and later spent $100,000 on a gift to the friend. What will you classify this? Let's say the person is not the president of Ghana. You guys are suffering and you are defending this nonsense. When there are too many fools in a country that is the end result.

In line with this goal, Some of the interventions are listed below and are at various stages of completion:

• Construction of 5,000 affordable housing units at Saglemi in the Greater Accra Region; • Construction of 168 housing units for the security services; • Construction of a 5,000 housing-unit Estate known as the ‘Nyame Dua Estate’ at Kpone in the Greater Accra Region;

• Resumption of work on the construction of the 4,720 affordable housing units started in the Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti, Northern and Upper West Regions in 2006.

When a verdict goes their favour, then only it is the best of verdicts.But when it is the otherwise, hell should break loose.

This and many other reasons why the NDC will come out victorious once more come November 7.

Nancy, I agree that CHRAJ said the president broke his own code of ethics. What I find interesting is the fact that they said it was not a conflict of interest. The president was conflicted by the gift from the contractor because taking the gift in itself is conflict of interest. For example say a boss sleeping with his coworker can say he does not give the coworker any favors and possibly intends to marry her. That does not mean it is not a conflict of interest. That is why bosses are not supposed to sleep with their workers. The president should not have taken the gift period. CHRAJ does not need anymore evidence because the act of accepting the gift is conflict of interest regardless of what you do with the gift. By CHRAJ's argument if I steal food for the needy then it is not stealing because I did something good with it. Conflict of interest is conflict of interest period

However, the president's lawyer only presented fact of what went into the gift and have realized that his servant wrong.

The President has interesting not denied that fact that he took the gift, but insisted the gift was used in running the affairs of the country.

Lawyers necessary might hold brief for their clients, but the fact remains that, CHRAJ was a neutral body to work on the case.

I am just at a lose on how the NPP stills finds it difficult to believe the reports of CHRAJ as a netural partner in the case.

• Construction of an ultra-modern terminal at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA);

• Refurbishment and expansion of the arrival hall at KIA;

• Completion of the first phase of the Kumasi International Airport;

• Completion of the first phase of the Tamale International Airport;

• Upgrading of the Wa Airstrip;

• Commencement of work on the Ho Airport. Other interventions include

• Processing the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (Amendment) Bill for enactment to ensure safety at our airports and in our airspace;

Reduced to its barest, the Ford Expedition saga reads like this. A Burkinabe road contractor was introduced to a then Vice President of Ghana, Mr. John Mahama. As a result of the useful and effective contact. The road contractor consequently, got a contract to build a fence wall for the Ghana Embassy in Quagadogou. That job cost Ghana government $650,000. Auditors found the job and money paid for it as too much. Eventually, a damning report of the matter, ended on the floor of parliament. The NPP jumped on it and fired salvos. The government communicators responded with unconvincing statements. They, as usual, colored their responses with invectives. Hoping it would scare people off the festering spectacle. Then there came a lull. But unknown to the two sides, a freelance journalist went over to Burkina Faso to follow the matter. He came up with very amazing and bizarre revelations. A Mr. Kanazoule, beneficiary contractor of the Ghana Embassy job, gave away a new Ford Expedition Vehicle to President Mahama, in the last quarter of 2012. President called and acknowledge the gift. The vehicle was consequently sent down to Accra, the shipment, facilitated by the Ghana Ambassador in Quagadogou.The story got a little bizzare at this point. But the responses from the government communicators indicated that the vehicle, though a gift to the president, was added to the fleet of vehicles at the seat of government.
The government side claims, the president has been vindicated because a state institution which was charged to investigate the reported matter, found nothing wrong to charge the president with. The president did no wrong, they say. This is okay by President Mahama and the Ndc new set of standards for the country. Therefore, in effect, as an example, a policeman can receive money from a driver and hand same over to his wife. The wife will use the money to run her household. The policeman will not be found guilty because he did not use the money on his person. This is typical Ndc changing lives, changing people.
