In a six-paged fact-check report released on Friday, Dr. Bawumia claims that Ghana scored zero on the macro-economic convergence requirements (ECOWAS) were false according to the Media Foundation for West Africa.

Another claim by the respected economist that research allowance for lecturers has been cut; as well as claims of Youth unemployment are similarly untrue among others.
Realities are, he DR Bawumia WAS lying to every stakeholder , and unfortunately non of his followers cum fanatics can see how dangerous the guy is unbecoming.

As an economic exert myself, I know that various sources of data sometimes give different data. Is MFWA aware of this fact? Have they interrogated the SAME sources that Dr Bawumia used for his analysis before spewing out this UNECONOMIC analytical gabbage? They should interrogate THE SAME SOURCES OF DATA that Bawumia used and come again. NDC-rented MFWA should come again with better sources and better analysis. Why have they said "mostly true" and "mostly false". In economic analysis, if two economists use data from different sources, their data will in MOST CASES be DIFFERENT. MFWA should get a life; and come again.

Dr Bawumia, in his 67-page presentation, gave more than 100 facts. MFWA is claiming that they have fact-checked 8 of them, albeit with their intellectually inaccurate and fraudulent economic analysis. MFWA has used data from sources that are largely different from the sources that Bawumia used. Are they aware of reasons why economists disagree even if they perform positive economic analysis (as in this case)? If two economists use data from different sources, their analysis will produce DIFFERENT results. MFWA should read more on Positive Economic analysis and appraise themselves with conflicting results when 2 economists use data from 2 DIFFERENT SOURCES for their analysis. MFWA have done readers dis-service by spewing this intellectually DISHONEST "fact-checks" on Dr Bawumia's analysis. A word to the wise is enough!!

Why is Dr Bawumia not consistent in his analysis?

He cannot cherry-pick data to prove a point. He is rubbishing the government's economic performance based on selected indicators with figures massaged to make the government look poor. What he fails to mention is that government has borrowed to invest heavily in infrastructure like schools, hospitals, roads, bridges,harbours, airports, railways, factories, gas pipeline, gas processing plants and thermal plants etc. He fails to mention that a lot of development aid has been cut off by donor countries since we attained lower midle-income status. We have not made as much from oil and gas as he would make us believe, and this is a direct consequence of the poor agreement signed by the NPP admin with the oil companies, giving us only a 10% equity in the oil and gas concessions, as well as four-year tax holidays. This meant we got no taxes from oil and gas for the first three years of oil and gas extraction, even though we made provision in our budgets for the oil and gas tax revenues.

MFWA is absolutely right to point out the flaws in Dr Bawumia's analysis. If anything, they did not go far enough.

The National Campaign Coordinator of the National Democratic Congress, Kofi Adams, has discounted claims made by President Mahama that he contributed significantly to the writing of the 2016 manifesto of the party.

According to Kofi Adams, who disclosed this to Brong Ahafo regional executives of the NDC on Thursday, 15th September, in preparation for the NDC's manifesto launch on Saturday, urged the members of the party to "treat the President's remarks with a pinch of salt."

Kofi Adams, whose claim did not sit down well with regional executives, told the 25-man team gathered at the Eusbett Hotel, that "President Mahama did not write 'foko'. He did not contribute in any way to the drafting of the Manifesto. You can ask any of the committee members. Lee Ocran is here, you can ask him."

Member of the Manifesto Committee, Lee Ocran, who has been a member over the years of various manifesto committees, subtly tried to water-down Kofi Adams' comments by stating that "well, I wouldn't use Kofi Adams' word and say the President did not write 'foko'. Yes, it is true that he did not contribute to the writing, but at least he saw the final draft before it went for printing."

As though this was not enough, Lee Ocran further stated that "the draft manifesto come to as without a single mark or annotation by the President, meaning he was very comfortable with the manifesto given him."

This submission by Lee Ocran, drew an angry response by Kofi Adams, who stated, to the dismay of the NDC faithful gathered that "I don't know why Lee Ocran is being diplomatic. I will call a spade a spade".

He told the Brong Ahafo Regional executives to cast their minds back to the presentation of the manifesto highlights made by President Mahama, saying that "the President's presentation was one of someone who did not even know the details of the manifesto, he was just reading out the highlight with no emotional attachment to it whatsoever."

The bombshell, which was to break the proverbial camel's back was yet to come.

Kofi Adams, who is also the National Organiser of the NDC, told the gathering that "we never plagiarized or copied the NPP's manifesto for 2016. This is because they don't have a manifesto yet. However, we picked ideas from the NPP flagbearer. He has said some useful things, which we dubbed. After all, they were just ideas he was floating about and not contained in any formal document."

It will be recalled that on the same day Kofi Adams was making this disclosure, President Mahama was also addressing chiefs and members of the Ga Traditional Council, where he contradicted Kofi Adam's claims by stating that he directly participated in the drafting of the NDC 2016 manifesto and can vouch for its originality.

The MFWA must credit it's source of information and they should not tell us it is the Ghana Statistical Service of the GLS reports etc, etc because it is on record, the Statistical Service just as is very common with Mahama, Terkper and Co., they have been caught severally indeed, on numerous occasions fiddling with reckless abandon and utmost glee, with the figures for political expediency.
Even in the ECF John Mahama entered into with the IMF after collapsing the economy, this issue of cookery of the figures with false numbers and data has created a situation where, John Mahama is sweating heavily on the third review.
The claims by Br. Bawumia are all entirely true.

After 8 years in government the NDC are saying they are now laying solid foundation.I want to ask when will they finish building the better Ghana they promised 8years down the line. They have failed Ghanaians on issues of corruption, job creation, dumsur, one time premium NHIS promised, 200 community SHS promised, water and other things. Even though I am not NPP support I still believe Ghanaians deserve better. Even though NDC government have done their best, it is not enough proof to deserve another 4 years.
