This has led Ghana to its knees economically.
If you talk about the physical weight and/or mere number of the Ghanaian currency by then, the easiest thing to do was to print the currency in higher notes or denominations;.. Say, 100; 1,000, 10,000; 100,000 Cedi Notes..
This could have solved the currency volume problems in Ghana...

I remember some NDC apparatchiks including Mrs. Konadu Agyemang Rawlings saying Kuffour's gov't did the re-denomination of the Cedi just for a political ploy. At the time Kuffrour was leaving office the exchange rate was US 1= GHc 1.10 realistically. The Cedi has since struggled to stand on strong against all other currencies; it's currently battling the US 1 @ GHc 4.00 and may drop further down if there's no change of gov't after December 7, 2016.

It baffles one's mind when the NDC would try to post such silly questions in the public domain, as if they're out of their senses. So there isn't any clever guy amongst the NDC, who can see and understand the importance or the value of a stronger Cedi, esp. when Ghana wants to compete on the international business scene?

After making sure all the macro-economic situation is brought under control, the next step ex-Prez Kuffrou did was to re-denominate the local currency. Ghana's economic revolution had got international attention or notice, esp. after successfully weaning ourselves off the "HIPIC" which took a record limited or short time. As we speak there're some African Nations still under "HIPIC" although they had been on that scheme before Ghana did.

The problem we have in Ghana, or as a nation is that we're living with a bunch of criminals and covetous people whose sole aim is to seize power and attempt to have access to national assets, just because to them, "it's either we have it or no-one else has it" amid propaganda, lies and the chanting of war slogans. That's the character of the NDC---anytime they wrestle their way back into power, things begin to fall apart for all Ghanaians.

The fact is that the NDC don't have any vision, that's why all the problems we have in the country. There is always tension in the country---lots of murders, armed robberies cases, insults and intimidations take place, when the NDC is in power. It's a fact!

They just can't see anything good when other talents are being used to bring progress and prosperity to our dear nation, else why would they ask such a silly question?

Bawumia is a pathological dishonest character. Not even a shred of progress was made when he was the deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana. Under his watch, the economy dived into the sea. He simply has nothing to offer this nation and should stop wasting our ears.

You will not get a pass if this were an examination so stop being petty and provide overwhelming facts and figures to rebutt his impressive presentation. It seems he has made well his arguments and is therefore in front right now. NDC, on the other hand seem to be clutching at straws and trying to play catch up. A whole minister cannot come out and demand something from Bawumia without addressing any of what was put out there. Real shame and lost opportunity. For these reasons I am in support of Bawumia's until something sensible comes out of the NDC camp.
