During 2001 to 2008, Kufuor and the NPP government including Nana Addo and Bawumia as ambassador left Ghana roads, streets and fly-overs dusty and uncompleted despite the Chinese and other countries loans. President Mahamah and the NDC government have to borrow money from IMF to complete these abandoned dusty roads including Accra to Kumasi highways that now experienced drivers could travel from Accra to Kumasi under four hours. Kufuor and the NPP government including Nana Addo and Bawumia sold our national valuable assets Ghana airways airlines and Ghana telecommunications co-operations and shared the money before leaving office while youth unemployment so high at the time. As Ashanti I am so ashamed of you having witnessed what the railways, Ghana Black star ships destroyed under Acheampong, Busia and Afrifah reigns as Ghana leaders. These co-operations were bringing in foreign currencies to help our external economy as well as serving as our scientific base operated by all Ghanaian trained engineers, pilots, stewards and air-hostesses. I listened to the whole speech by Bawu on CITIFM while stuck in an unusual traffic jam for four hours from Accra till I reached the Emmanuel Eye Clinic junction then it flowed. The cause of the jam? NPP having changed the original design for the Tetteh Quarshie interchange and ineptitude of police traffic officers in letting the traffic flow. Now, Bawus speech was quite impressive but at some points partial politics and dishonesty was in play. An example is when he quoted 200,000 cedis in 2007 under NPP and 900,000 cedis now under NDC for similar bungalows. He then said 4 bungalows coule have been built with the NDC money. I agree the 900,000cedis sounds horrendous but what is 2007s 200,000 cedis worth today..counting inflation etc. I bet it is worth near today's 800,000! There are other such convenient twists in his presentation. If NPP however does win, what he brilliantly presented would not be implemented or shoddily done..like they did the Tetteh Quarshie interchange!

Was Ghana not under HICP during Kufour's presidency ? By HICP Kufour and his govt had a lot of funds which were poured in by donor countries and he did not have to service any debt which during Mill's tenure were non existen ...

By HICP Kufour and his govt had a lot of funds which were poured in by donor countries and he did not have to service any debt which during Mill's tenure were non existent because Ghana had been classified under a middle income so the nation had to internally generate and borrow under higher interest so is like comparing apples and oranges .Kufour needs to be blamed for the 10,000 one cedi to the new 1GHC and so now if a product is even increased by one GHC its equivalent to 10,000 old cedi were was Bawumia then during those senseless re- basing of our currency.
