Open minded and well informed Ghanaians and other people alike love their brands, not because they are Ghanaians but the are offering good services and goods.
What is important is not if a brand is Ghanaian, Nigerian, American or Chinese but the quality.
Even for states there is no different because as long as they can collect their taxes and create employment it doesn't matter who owns the brand or company.
If Toyota would produce cars in Ghana, Nike sport shoes, Dolce&Gabana clothes and they create jobs and pay their taxes, who cares who is the owner? If Ghanaian brands and services can compete (and indeed some can) they should do so, but business Ghanaian owned at any costs is useless in a worldwide economy. Or am I hurting Ghanaian pride now?
You know the favorite brands of people in China and Russia ? American brands, sometimes produced in China and Russia.
Make Ghana strong by concentrating on quality and your Ghanaian owned economy will come without pushing.
