If you build factory with state resources without considering the viability then it's rubbish.History tells us that all the state owned enterprises collapsed because they were simply not viable and couldn't stand the test of time.As we speak,the remaining state owned enterprises are in serious heavy debts,some of them can't even attract private partnership or buyers.Apparently,no govt can force private busineesmen to invest in every district where there is no profit.Interest rate and taxes are cheaper in Togo and Ivory Coast including stable exchange rates but Ghana still has more factories than them.The truth is that no bussinessman will invest his money where there is no profit so where is the logic?.Thank you.

The promises are becoming too spontaneous which show some level of desperation from the NPP. What kind of promises didn't we hear from the NPP in the run-up to the 2000 elections? They made all sorts of promises in their manifesto ranging from turning chop bars into 'first class' restaurants, constructing rail lines from southern Ghana up to northern Ghana, etc, etc! In all, they couldn't fulfill more than 80 of those promises! Come 2016, we are hearing of promises again, but this time very gargantuan promises! So is it another DEJA VU? I think politicians are taking us for a ride! If the ruling NDC administration has some shortfalls, it doesn't mean you the NPP opposition political party should play to the gallery and make ridiculous promises. At least going by their track record, what if they are voted into power and are unable to fulfill those gargantuan promises just like in the year 2000?
